The term graphic design can refer to a number of artistic and professional disciplines which focus on visual communication and presentation. Various methods are used to create and combine symbols, images and/or words to create a visual representation of ideas and messages. A graphic designer may use typography, visual arts and page layout techniques to produce the final result. Graphic design often refers to both the process (designing) by which the communication is created and the products (designs) which are generated.
Common uses of graphic design include magazines, advertisements, product packaging and web design. For example, a product package might include a logo or other artwork, organized text and pure design elements such as shapes and color which unify the piece. Composition is one of the most important features of graphic design especially when using pre-existing materials or diverse elements.
Some of examples from my portfolio. These are bussines cards produced for mjuks;
I have been producing designs for mjuks such as bussiness card, posters and websites. All of these are about graphic design and when I continue to study about design, I realize different kinds of disciplines day by day. For me graphic design is a way to tell my opinion or my idea on my head. It sometimes hard to explain clearly or I didn’t put forward designs well done enough. However, if I continue to work, it would be better step by step.

high dynamic range imaging
Posted in photography with tags hdr, photography on June 6, 2009 by yuceeelI am interested in photography and nowadays I have been working about hdr photography. High dynamic range imaging (HDRI or just HDR) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of luminances between light and dark areas of a scene than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows.
This method was developed to produce a high dynamic range image from a set of photographs taken with a range of exposures. With the rising popularity of digital cameras and easy-to-use desktop software, the term HDR is now popularly used to refer to this process. This composite technique is different from (and may be of lesser or greater quality than) the production of an image from a single exposure of a sensor that has a native high dynamic range. Tone mapping is also used to display HDR images on devices with a low native dynamic range, such as a computer screen.
Select the area you want to take your camera with 3 or more you are taking photos. Of course we must be careful when taking photos, some of these tricks are the most important when taking photos to capture the same frame and in no way should not have to shake. It can easily handle this using the tripod. Finally, the pictures move in the frame should not be any object in the same frame every time a brief note that your photo shoot.
The first photo is set according to light and completely natural environment is a photo taken. Machine, “0″ position, I can make shots. The second photo is provided to receive the light of the machine and check the details of dark areas in the field emerged a better photo is taken. Machine “+2″ to make the shots. Have not enlightened enough to +3 EV, select one of the options +4 purpose here to take a picture bright enough to shine until you can lower the setting. The third photo is the right of the machine to receive less light and dark colors will be captured in the photos. Machine “-2″ to make the shots. Not be sufficient decision-3, 4 as one of the options can be selected.
After taking photos of these three utilities, and programs overlap with the three colors by selecting the best photos each pikseldeki creates. In this way, the shadow and light in a normal photo photo gave details that will be lost. So in short “HDR”, a photo of the open, dark and normal light images were taken in three colors by combining the best technique to capture a photo.
This is the result of one of my trial of hdr photography. It was the first, not so good, but I enjoy while studying with this technic photography and I will continue to study about it.

short film project first test
Posted in my portfolio with tags Mental State, Short film on March 18, 2009 by yuceeelI have started to make a short film, its name is ”Mental State”. In this film, there is a guy who is driving a bicycle and that guy races with some abstract shapes… That is not all of the story, that’s why the story sounds like something missing, but in the final version of the film everything will be fixed.
Actually for now, my goal is not the story, because i have a lot of technical problems to solve.
Firstly, I need to record someone while driving bicycle and I connect to the camera to another bicycle. Thank you for your precious helps to çiğdem’ -she is driving other bicycle-
The bicycle generally works like a steadycam. If road is flat and clear, but it is not possible every time. Thats why, I have used especially this kind of shaky shot for first test, because I can’t record more shaky one, this shot will show me my possibletys and limits about tracking.
Is 2d tracking enough or will I need 3d track; that was the another thing to find out. I have just used Adobe After Effects for making orange line, and for black one I have used Boujou for 3d tracking. Then I exported the camera moving to 3dsmax and I added this lines and returned to Adobe After Effects for final compositing. So I think, I will need 2d and 3d tracking together.
